Ebook Wilhelm Tell German Edition Friedrich Schiller 9781286253069 Books
"Almost everyone knows the story of William Tell, but this is the first time I've read Schiller's original. I found it inspirational.
In a relativistic age, it is good to be reminded of the virtues and moral standards that have been a foundation for whatever is good in Western culture. Yes, one could object that the good characters are idealised and one-dimensional compared to the flawed, imperfect individuals of the real world, but at least we could aspire to be like the ideals.
At another level, Wilhelm Tell gives food for thought about political structure, freedom and self-government.
Recommended!"

Wilhelm Tell German Edition Friedrich Schiller 9781286253069 Books Reviews
- Almost everyone knows the story of William Tell, but this is the first time I've read Schiller's original.
Recommended! - Language may be 'veraltet' but it is a good reading exercise for a non native German speaker.
- The introduction, notes and photo captions are in English. However, the actual text of the play is in German.
