"This book has become one of my all time favorite books! The author is absolutely endowed with wisdom from above. It was an incredible read! I literally underlined and took notes on every page. This is not a book that you would read in one setting. No, you have to digest the information ( think, process, and do some serious introspection ). I would recommend this book to anyone that is seriously wanting change for themselves and to exude that change outwardly to help others. This book was definitely written differently than any other book I have read ( and I'm a bibliophile ). The author wrote the book in a no nonsense, brutally honest straight talk..but it's good!! If your soul is truly crying out for change and calling you out for something more then you will overlook the author's tone. You can tell that the author is writing out of love and compassion. I consider myself blessed for reading this precious gem. Many blessings to the author!"

- Eh, this book is mediocre. Even persons who just started their spiritual journey will notice that they shouldn't follow the underlining objective inside this book. Don't get me wrong, it's a positive effort to wake you up and smell the coffee, but most of it is common sense. Definitely not something I'd read over again as a guide. Hell, if you want this book anyway I'll give it to you!
- I found this book to be necessary information for all women, but especially our young women. The information presented is uplifting and encouraging. There is nothing chauvinistic present at all. The truth about us as black women is no secret. We are lost and brother Akil is only trying to help restore that necessary balance. This book is an absolute must for open-minded GROWN women who are seeking to grow into their Goddess self.
- This book reads as if you were at a actual sermon or something. Overall , the message is pretty powerful.
